G-32 4420 5606 reSPiratorS NIOSH enacted 42 CFR 84 in 1995 which established nine classes of filters comprised of three levels of minimum filtration efficiency and three categories of resistance to the effects of oil in the workplace. The three different levels of filtration efficiency are 95 percent, 99 percent and 99.97 (100) percent against the most difficult size particle to filter. The three categories of resistances to the effects of oil are: "N" for Not resistant to oil, "R" for Resistant to Oil (must be thrown out every 8 hours) and "P" for oil Proof. There is no simple switch from the old to the new product. Per OSHA, if the contaminant requires a HEPA filter, as with any of the substance specific standard, a 100 class filter must now be used. Other considerations are: whether the environment contains oil aerosol (if it does, use only R or P products) and workplace conditions and worker preferences for features. OSHA has established permissible exposure limits (PEL) for respirators to control exposure, a target exposure level must be established to determine the appropriate respirator to use. As a general rule, the following three levels apply when determining if a respirator is needed: 1. A substance that is tested in the workplace and results in a detection level less than the PEL, does not require a respirator. 2. A substance with a measured concentration between 1 and 10 times its PEL requires the use of a half-respirator. 3. Those substances with a measured concentration between 10 and 50 times its PEL requires the use of a full face mask respirator. Maximum N R P 95% N95 R95 P95 99% N99 R99 P99 99.97% N100 R100 P100 Part No. 4420 Designed to provide quality, reliable worker protection in applications such as grinding, sawing, sanding, sweeping and bagging. 20/box NIOSH Approval TC-84A-0007 Part No. 5606 The innovative "M" nose clip helps provide a good seal against the face. The 3M™ Cool Flow™ Exhalation valve reduces heat and humidity build up inside the respirator. Workers will appreciate the added comfort and durablity of this respirator. 10/box NIOSH Approval TC-84A-1299 Part No. 5604 This respirator is specifically designed for welding and other metal fume applications involving ozone or nuisance level odors (concentrations of organic vapors below the OSHA PEL). Well suited to maintenance welding operations, torch cutting, brazing, soldering and the pouring of metal. The respirator includes many wear oriented features. Patented Advanced Electret Media (AEM) and 3M™ Cool Flow Exhalation Valve create easy breathing. Adjustable straps and a conformable faceseal provide a secure fit across a broad range of face sizes. 10/box NIOSH Approval TC-84A-0454 Part No. 10346 Welding/Cutter Respirator • Can be used as protection from most fumes generated by welding, metal cutting, metal pouring and soldering • Fits under welding helmet with plenty of clearance • Provides low breathing resistance • Disposable, 1 per package Particulate reSPiratorS NIOSH certified to have at least 95% efficiency at removing solid and liquid particles (excluding those containing oil). (Protection from Dusts, Mists, Metal Fumes and Fibers) N95 SANDING, GRINDING, BUFFING, SWEEPING, BAGGING, BODY FILLER AND DRYWALL (UP TO 10X PEL) • Molded nose bridge has no metal nosepiece, which means that no pinching is required to achieve a "peak fit" • Integrated one-piece head strap is made of latex-free cloth material, making it cooler and more comfortable than traditional rubber versions • Available with or without an exhalation valve, provides 95% filtration against aerosols free of oils below PEL Part No. Description Box Qty.
