The deposits are strong, dense and can be used on many weldable grades of wrought and cast aluminum alloys. Excellent for power tool housings, filling foundry defects, repairing aluminum fans in electric motors, and a host of applications encountered in the maintenance department. This alloy contains silicon and is not recommended if finished work is to be anodized. This alloy is excellent for overlaying parts subjected to wear both in the shop and in the field. HARD HAT has a high deposition rate and deposits are dense, porosity free and easy to control.
